Energize The South
From September through December 2025, the Southeast Climate and Energy Network (SCEN) will lead a grassroots fundraising campaign to raise $250K, engage over 1,000 donors, and secure 100–200 new recurring givers. Through storytelling, digital outreach, and anchor matching gifts, the campaign will highlight SCEN’s role in advancing climate and energy justice across the South, uplifting frontline voices, celebrating community wins, and fueling long-term resilience. Funds raised will directly sustain member organizations, expand rapid-response capacity for climate emergencies, and strengthen grassroots leadership development. By cultivating a broader base of recurring donors, this campaign will also lay the foundation for SCEN’s long-term sustainability and impact.
Why The Southeast Is Critical:
1
High Vulnerability
To hurricanes, flooding, extreme heat, and energy insecurity. The Southeast has experienced a sharp rise in billion-dollar disasters in the past decade (NOAA).
2
A Growing Force for Climate Justice
Home to powerful grassroots organizing, cultural movements, and faith-based leadership.
3
Cultural and Political Shifts Start Here
From civil rights to climate justice, the South has shaped national change before—and will do it again.
